Pan masala baron’s daughter-in-law suicide: Diary mentions love and trust, frequent fights with husband
Deepti Chaurasia was found dead in her room by her husband who immediately took her to hospital. No other family member was present at home at the time of the incident. However, she was declared dead by the doctors upon arrival.
New Delhi: The daughter-in-law of leading pan masala company owner, who allegedly died by suicide on Tuesday in Delhi, had reportedly written about her relationship with her husband and about "love and trust" in a dairy. Deepti Chaurasia, who was the daughter-in-law of Kamla Pasand and Rajshree brand pan masalas' owner Kamal Kishor Chaurasia, was allegedly found hanging from the ceiling of her in-laws' house in Vasant Vihar of southwest Delhi on Tuesday.
Police recovered the diary from Deepti's room, in which she allegedly wrote about her frequent fights with her husband Arpit. The couple who got married in 2010 and have two children, were allegedly living in two separate houses due to ongoing disputes. Although the 38-year-old did not blame anyone for the extreme step in her diary, she wrote about "relationship issues" she was facing with her husband.

Deepti's brother Rishab has also accused her husband of beating her and having an extra marital affair. He also alleged that Deepti would call him and allege that she was was being tortured.
Family lawyer rejects marital discord claims
The family lawyer, however, rejected the reports of marital discord as "baseless” and said that there were no allegations in the "suicide note".
"Whatever is being reported in the media is totally false. There is no allegation in the suicide note. She has not particularly named anyone to be responsible for this,” Rajender Singh, the lawyer of Kamal Kishor Chaurasia’s family, told reporters. "We are cooperating with the police. We don’t know the cause of suicide yet," he added.
