A fire broke out at the AIIMS Trauma Centre in Delhi on Thursday afternoon after a blast in a 33,000-volt electric transformer. The incident caused panic, but no one was injured. The transformer was located near two others and just five metres from a doctors' hostel, making the situation risky. Firefighters reached the site quickly after getting the alert at 3:35 pm. They brought the fire under control within 35 minutes and secured the area. Hospital services continued without disruption, and all patients were safe. Officials suspect a short circuit caused the blast. An investigation into the incident is underway.
