Rape case: Rahul Mamkoottathil files fresh petition, requests for closed-door bail hearing in sessions court
Meanwhile police sources say that Rahul Mamkoottathil is currently staying in Pollachi in Tamil Nadu along with a close associate. Sources also added that Rahul had moved to Coimbatore three days ago and from there moved to Pollachi where he is believed to be staying along with his close associate.
Thiruvananthapuram: Rahul Mamkoottathil's counsel has filed a fresh petition in the Trivandrum sessions court where he has requested a closed-door bail plea hearing while the anticipatory bail plea is taken for hearing on December 3.
The petition was filed in the Additional sessions court by Sasthamangalam Ajith, the counsel for Rahul.

Police team probing the case is trying for the arrest of Rahul and produce him before the court before the anticipatory bail plea hearing.
Rahul Easwar continues his protest in jail
Right wing activist and TV commentator Rahul Easwar has been continuing his hunger protest in the Trivandrum sessions jail demanding 'justice' for Rahul Mamkoottathil. Mr Easwar has alleged that Mamkoottathil has been targeted by the left government and is innocent in the case. Easwar had posted videos and made comments allegedly insulting the survivor in the case following which a complaint was filed against him.
However, in social media there has been criticism mounting against Rahul Mamkootathil and Easwar for their conduct and behavior.
Rahul Easwar's wife Deepa Easwar said to the media that Rahul is innocent and is being targeted by a section of politicians and the media.
