No Big Show in IPL: Glenn Maxwell absent from 2026 auction list
Known as the 'Big Show' for his ball-hitting ability, the 37-year-old has struggled to produce his best performance in recent years.
New Delhi: Dashing Australia batting all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is one of the notable absentees in the list of players for the 2026 Indian Premier League auction.
A total of 1355 players got registered for the auction in Abu Dhabi on December 16 with 10 teams looking to fill 77 slots, including 31 for foreign players.

Among the over 1300 players registered, 45, including Venkatesh Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi, have set the highest base price of Rs 2 crore.
End of the road for Maxwell?
Last season, Maxwell had scored 78 runs and claimed four wickets in nine matches before a fractured finger cut short his stint with Punjab Kings halfway through the tournament.
Punjab then opted not to retain him for the upcoming edition, having first featured in the tournament in 2012.
