HDB Financial Services shares in focus today after Q1 earnings

New Delhi: The shares of HDB Financial Services are in focus on July 17, 2025 after the company announced its April-June quarterly results for 2025-26. The firm posted 2.4 percent decline in net profit. The net profit for the first quarter of FY26 stood at Rs 568 crore.

At the time of writing, the stock was trading at Rs 816.70 per equity share. The share has given a negative return of nearly 2 percent since its listing on July 3rd, 2025. The price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of the company is 32.07 as per the data fetched from Groww. The market capitalisation of the company stands at Rs 69755 crore.

HDB Financial Services, a subsidiary of HDFC Bank, said its net profit for the company edged up to Rs 582 crore for the June quarter of FY26. The company said in its regulatory filing on Tuesday, 15th July 2025, that the net income inched to Rs 2726 crore as of June 30, 2025, recording a surge of 14.2 percent from its corresponding quarter of the previous year.

HDB Financial Services reported its net income at Rs 2092, recording a surge of 18.3 percent, as compared to Rs 1768 crore in the year-ago period. It has a business of Rs 109690 crore AUM (assets under management) as of June 30, 2024, a surge of 14.7 percent from its previous fiscal year.

HDB Financial Services was established in 2007 and comes under the upper-layer NBFC as per the Reserve Bank. The RBI categorises NBFCs into four layers: Base Layer, Middle Layer, Upper Layer, and Top Layer, with the upper layer comprising systemically important NBFCs. These NBFCs are subject to increased regulatory oversights due to their significant impact on the overall financial system.
