New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2026 exam date. As per the schedule, the aptitude test will be held on March 7. The GPAT 2026 registration will start at 5 pm today on the official website, natboard.edu.in. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for GPAT till January 12.
GPAT is a national-level exam to shortlist candidates for admission to the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) course. Over 39,000 MPharm seats will be filled across 800 institutions across the country through this exam.
NBEMS will hold the GPAT exam as a computer-based test (CBT) on March 7. The exam will be for a duration of 3 hours. There will be a total of 125 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a maximum of 500 marks. As per the GPAT marking scheme, for every correct answer four marks will be awarded. For the incorrect response, one mark will be deducted. The exam conducting authority will declare the GPAT 2026 result on April 7.
To apply and appear for the GPAT exam, candidates need to fulfil the below eligibility requirements-
The participating institutes conduct the GPAT counselling based on the score. Candidates who qualifies the exam need to register with the institutes to participate in the counselling. The counselling schedule will be released by the participating institutes separately. The documents required for GPAT counselling include GPAT counselling letter (original), GPAT admit card, GPAT rank card, Class 10 mark sheet and certificate, Class 12 mark sheet and certificate, passport size photograph, graduation certificate, character certificate and category certificate (if any).
