NBEMS mandates barcode entry for DNB final theory 2025 hybrid mode exam

NBEMS has scheduled to conduct the DNB Final exams December 2025 session on December 18, 19, 20, and 21 in hybrid mode.

New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has made it compulsory for candidates to enter the answer booklet barcode on the computer console for the DNB final theory exam December 2025 to be conducted in hybrid mode.

NBEMS has scheduled to conduct the DNB Final exams December 2025 session on December 18, 19, 20, and 21 in hybrid mode. Candidates appearing for the exam will find the questions on the computer screen. The answers will be written in barcoded physical answer booklets.

The exam conducting authority stated, 'From DNB Final Examination December 2025 onwards, candidates appearing in NBEMS examinations administered in hybrid mode shall be required to enter the barcode of the answer booklet provided to them in the computer console before starting the examination.'

NBEMS Hybrid Exam December 2025: Instructions to enter barcode

  • Candidates must verify that the answer booklet has 50 pages, no misprints, torn or missing pages and a barcode printed on all of the pages.
  • The barcode needs to be entered in the same sequence in the space provided using a virtual number pad appering on the screen.
  • NBEMS will not assess the answer sheets with incorrect barcodes.
  • Candidates will get two minutes to enter the barcode.
  • After entering the barcode, click on save. The ‘Submit’ button will be enabled after two minutes.
  • The question paper will not be visible to those who do not enter the barcode or save it.
  • If anyone fails to enter the barcode even after two minutes will start losing the exam time.

DNB final theory 2025 mock test

Candidates can get familiar with the new exam pattern by attempting the mock tests available. To enter the barcode, two minutes will be provided using a virtual numeric keypad which will appear on the computer screen.
