Baruraj Bihar assembly constituency

Baruraj is one of the 243 legislative assembly constituencies in Bihar. It is located in the Muzaffarpur district of the state. The current MLA from this constituency is Arun Kumar Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who secured 87,407 votes in the 2020 elections, beating Nand Kumar Rai of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) by a margin of 43,654 votes.

According to 2024 data from the election commission, the total number of registered electors in this constituency is 282,917. Male electors in this constituency amount to 149,998, female electors amount to 132,913 and only 6 electors of the third gender are registered in this constituency. Data from the last election cycle in 2020 shows the total number of electors in this constituency at 289,045, where 152,484 electors were male, 136,555 electors were female and only 6 electors belonged to the third gender. In the 2015 elections the total number of electors was 258,458, where 139,898 electors were male, 118,559 electors were female and only 1 elector belonged to the third gender. In the 2020 elections, 176,690 out of 289,045 electors cast their votes, marking the voter turnout at 61.13%.
