Bhorey, one of the 243 legislative Assembly constituencies of Bihar, has a reservation status of Scheduled Caste. Its current MLA is Sunil Kumar of Janata Dal United. In 2020, he got 74,067, and defeated Jitendra Paswan of Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation) by 462 votes.
