Darbhanga Rural assembly constituency

Darbhanga Rural is one of the 243 state Assembly Constituencies in Bihar, it is located in the Darbhanga district of the state. Currently the MLA from this constituency is Lalit Kumar Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) who secured 64,929 votes in the 2020 elections. He defeated Faraz Fatmi of Janata Dal United JD(U) by a margin of 2,141 votes.

The 2024 Election Commission data shows the total number of registered voters in Darbhanga Rural constituency is 2,98,481. The number of male registered voters in this constituency are 1,57,135, female registered electors stands at 1,41,344 and only 2 electors of the third gender are registered in the constituency. Data from the last election cycle of 2020 shows the total number of registered electors at 2,90,732 where 1,54,538 registered electors were male, 1,36,192 electors were female and only 2 electors were of the third gender. In the 2015 elections the total registered voters was 2,63,534 where 1,41,122 registered electors were male, 1,22,412 electors were female and no electors belonged to the third gender.
