Bihar Gaighat Assembly Election Result: Gaighat is one of the 243 state assembly constituencies in Bihar, located in Muzaffarpur district of the state. Polling for this constituency was conducted in the first phase of 2025 Assembly elections on November 6, 2025. 

Current MLA from this constituency is Niranjan Roy of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) who secured 59,778 votes in the 2020 elections, beating Maheshwar Yadav of Janata Dal United (JDU) by a margin of 7,566 votes. As per the 2024 Election Commission data, the total number of registered electors in Gaighat are 330,371. Male registered electors in this constituency are 173,961, and female registered electors are 156,404. Only 6 electors are of the third gender are registered ​here. 

Meanwhile, data from the 2020 election cycle showed the total number of registered electors at 316,108. Out of this, 166,475 were male, 149,627 were female and only 6 electors were of the third gender. In the 2015 elections, the number of total registered electors was 287,372. Out if this 153,220 were male, 134,149 were female and only 3 electors belonged to the third gender. 

The 2020 election cycle marked a voter turnout of 57.46%, which means only 181,621 out of the total 316,108 electors cast their votes. In the 2015 elections, the voter turnout was 57.44% as 165,066 electors out of 287,372 cast their votes. Gaighat constituency covers an approximate land area of 368.37 sq kms.
