Jale assembly constituency

Jale is one of the 243 state assembly constituencies of Bihar. This constituency is located in the district of Darbhanga. The current MLA from this constituency is Jibesh Kumar of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who secured 87,376 votes in the 2020 elections beating Maskoor Ahmad Usmani of the Indian National Congress (INC) by a margin of 21,796 votes.

Election Commission data from 2024 shows the total number of registered electors from this constituency is 3,23,092. The total number of registered male electors in this constituency is 1,69,987, while female registered electors here is 1,53,098. There are only 7 electors of the third gender registered in this constituency. In 2020 the total number of registered electors in Jale was 3,12,393. There were 1,65,727 male voters, 1,46,661 female voters and 5 third gender voters in the constituency. Election Commission data shows that in 2015 the total number of registered electors here was 2,85,262, of which 1,53,385 electors were male, 1,31,876 electors were female and only 1 elector was from the third gender. 

Voter turnout of 54.14% in the 2020 elections shows that out of the 3,12,393 electors, 1,69,138 cast their votes while in 2015 elections, 1,48,865 out of the 2,85,262 registered electors cast their votes keeping the voter turnout 52.19%.
