Keoti assembly constituency

Keoti is one of the 243 state assembly constituencies of Bihar. This constituency is located in the Darbhanga district of the state. The current MLA from this constituency is Murari Mohan Jha of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who secured 76,372 votes in the 2020 elections. He defeated Abdul Bari Siddiqui of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) by a margin of 5,126 votes. 

According to the 2024 election data, the total number of registered electors from this constituency is 3,01,945. The total number of males registered as electors in this constituency are 1,59,622. There are 1,42,318 females registered as voters and only 5 voters are from the third gender. According to the 2020 elections data, the total number of registered electors was 2,89,626, where 1,54,494 electors were male, 1,35,123 electors were female and 9 electors were of the third gender. The 2015 election data showed that the total number of registered voters in the constituency was 2,66,544, where 1,44,029 were males, 1,22,503 were females and 12 electors were of the third gender.  

In the 2020 elections, 1,63,537 electors out of the 2,89,626 total registered electors cast their votes, which kept the voter turnout at 56.46%, while in the 2015 election, 1,45,587 out of the 2,66,544 registered electors cast their votes. So that year the voter turnout was 54.62%. 

Polling for this constituency in the 2025 elections took place in the first phase of elections on November 6.

Keoti constituency covers an approximate land area of 234.87 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Keoti are 26° 13 '50.9"N 85° 52' 01.9"E. Seven other state assembly constituencies in the state of Bihar share borders with Keoti constituency, which are Madhubani, Bisfi, Jale, Gaighat, Bahadurpur, Darbhanga and Darbhanga Rural.
