Marhaura constituency in Bihar is located in Saran district of the state. The Assemble election is this constituency was held on November 6. Jitendra Kumar Ray of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is the current MLA from the constituency. In 2020, he defeated tlaf Alam of Janata Dal (United) (JDU) by a margin of 11,385 votes.

In 2020, the Election Commission put the total registered electors at 267,925. Of them 140,906 electors were males and 127,013 electors were females. Six voters were of the third gender. Similarly, in 2024, the EC data showed the total registered electors at 285,665 . Of them male voters were 149,105, while females were 136,560.

The constituency is known for its Shakti Pitha Temple, Gadhdevi Temple and an ancient temple of lord Shiva. There are many devout followers of these temples.
