Munger assembly constituency

Munger is one of the 243 state assembly constituencies of Bihar. This constituency is located in the Vaishali district of the state, it is also one of the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies from the state of Bihar. The current MLA from this constituency is Pranav Kumar of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who secured 75,753 votes in the 2020 elections, beating Avinash Kumar Vidyarthi of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) by a margin of 1,244 votes.

 

According to the 2024 election data, the total number of registered electors from this constituency is 347,368. Male registered electors in this constituency amount to 184,075, female electors amount to 163,290 and 21 electors of the third gender are also registered. In the 2020 elections data the total number of registered electors was 339,048, where 183,885 electors were male, 155,135 electors were female and 28 electors of the third gender were registered. The 2015 election data marked the total number of registered voters at 311,957 electors, where 170,178 male, 141,751 female electors were registered and 28 electors of the third gender were registered in the 2015 elections. A total of nine assembly constituencies in the state of Bihar share borders with Munger constituency, which are Khagaria, Beldaur, Parbatta, Sultanganj, Tararpur, Jamalpur, Suryagarha, Mathihani and Sahebpur Kamal.
