Bihar Patepur Assembly Election Result: Patepur constituency, located in Vaishali district of Bihar, is one of the 243 legislative assembly constituencies that form the Bihar state government. This assembly seat is reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes only. Polling for this constituency was conducted in the first phase of 2025 Assembly elections on November 6, 2025.
The current MLA from this constituency is Lakhendra Kumar Raushan of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who secured 86,509 votes in the 2020 elections, beating Shiv Chandra Ram of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) by a margin of 25,839 votes. According to 2024 Election Commission data, the total number of registered electors in Patepur constituency is 305,375 electors, out of which 159,510 are male, 145,856 are female, and 9 are of the third gender.
In the last Bihar assembly elections held in 2020, the Election Commission documented the total number of registered electors at 290,677, where 154,804 electors were male, 135,870 electors were female and 3 electors were of the third gender. Voter turnout in this election cycle was 57.07% as 165,881 voters out of the total cast their votes.
Like most of Bihar, Patepur's main economic activity is agriculture and its main crops are banana, litchis and mangoes. This region also has high potential for renewable energy sources such as biogas. Being part of the Vaishali district, this region has a deep historical legacy related to the Maurya dynasty. This constituency covers an approximate land area of 273.35 sq kms and shares its borders with Mahnar, Mahua, Morwa, Kalyanpur and Sakra districts of Bihar.
