Suspended Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil is once again embroiled in controversy following the online emergence of new audio clips and WhatsApp chats, reportedly involving him. These leaked materials suggest fresh allegations where Rahul allegedly pressured a woman to conceive a child and subsequently undergo an abortion.

The woman claims the initial insistence on having a child originated directly from Rahul. The authenticity of these newly surfaced audio and chat exchanges, which also reportedly feature a dismissive response from a man believed to be Rahul, is yet to be verified.

This development comes shortly after Mamkootathil had resumed public activities ahead of local body elections. An earlier audio leak had already triggered a political storm, leading to his suspension from the Congress party. The Crime Branch had previously registered a case based on that initial leak.

However, the investigation stalled after the woman did not provide a formal statement, despite police officers noting that her initial testimony was robust enough to warrant an arrest. Alleged assurances from Rahul are said to have influenced her decision to withhold further cooperation.
