Patients wife forced to clean ambulance by driver in MPs Satna | Video
In a harrowing incident in Madhya Pradesh's Satna District Hospital, the 108 ambulance service, instead of providing a life-saving aid to an injured patient, became a source of humiliation and suffering.
The inhuman incident in Madhya Pradesh
The case of getting the ambulance washed by the wife of a person injured in a road accident is now raising serious questions about the government health system in the state. Kamlesh Rawat, who was seriously injured in a road accident in Ramnagar, was brought to Satna District Hospital by 108 ambulance.
His leg was broken in the accident, and due to his deteriorating health on the way to the hospital, the patient started vomiting. As soon as the ambulance reached the main gate of the district hospital, the driver crossed all limits of insensitivity and made the patient's wife clean the ambulance.
This entire incident continued openly at the main gate of the hospital, but the staff present there, and the responsible officers did not consider it necessary to stop it. Whereas, as per the rules, a separate budget is allocated for the cleanliness of the 108 ambulance, and getting any such work done by the patient or his family members is completely prohibited. Despite this, this inhuman act not only flouted the rules but also caused serious damage to the credibility of life-saving services like 108.
