PM Modi Receives Ethiopia’s Highest Civilian Honour During First-Ever Visit, Signs Key MoUs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with Ethiopia’s highest civilian award, The Great Honour Nishan of Ethiopia, during his first-ever visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The prestigious honour was bestowed upon him in recognition of his significant contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between India and Ethiopia.

This landmark visit, undertaken at the invitation of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, marks an important milestone in the deepening ties between the two nations and highlights Indias growing engagement with the African continent.
