Rashtrapati Bhavan Unveils Param Vir Dirgha: A Tribute to Indias War Heroes

Rashtrapati Bhavan has unveiled the Param Vir Dirgha, a significant new gallery honouring Indias highest military decoration, the Param Vir Chakra. This corridor, once adorned with portraits of British ADCs during colonial times, has been completely transformed to celebrate the extraordinary bravery and supreme sacrifice of all 21 Param Vir Chakra awardees.

Inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu on Vijay Diwas, the Param Vir Dirgha stands as a profound tribute to Indias war heroes. This initiative marks a powerful shift from colonial legacies to a proud, India-centric celebration of the nations valour and the timeless spirit of its armed forces.
