New Delhi: Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) portal was launched on Monday. The portal is aimed at employers and first-time employees to take benefit of the Rs 1-lakh crore central scheme.
The scheme was approved by the Union Cabinet on July 1, 2025.
Addressing the media, Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Mansukh Mandaviya said the government has earmarked nearly Rs 1 lakh crore fo the scheme with an aim to incentivise the creation of more than 3.5 crore jobs in the country, over a period of 2 years starting August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2027.
The scheme covers all employers and first-time employees. A beneficiary can avail the incentive benefit by registering on the portal or can opt to upload UAN number on the UMANG App.
The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana is aimed at creating over 3.5 crore jobs in two years. The scheme ensures that newly employed youth will get an incentive of up to Rs 15,000 in two instalments, while upto Rs 3000 per month will be given per new employee to employers for creation of new job opportunities.
Part A of the yojana will ensure one-month EPF wage up to Rs 15,000 in two installments for the first-time employees. Employees with salaries up to Rs 1 lakh will be eligible for the incentives. The beneficiary will get the first instalment after 6 months of service and the 2nd instalment will be payable after 12 months of service and completion of a financial literacy programme by the employee.
This part of Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana will encourage generation of additional employment in all sectors. “The employers will get incentives in respect of new employees with salaries up to Rs 1 lakh. The Government will incentivize employers, up to Rs 3000 per month, for two years, for each additional employment, sustained for at least six months. For the manufacturing sector, incentives will be extended to the 3rd and 4th years as well,” the official release stated.
