Mumbai: Incessant rains in Mumbai have brought the normal life to a standstill as the roads are flooded and traffic disrupted. The heavy rainfall and flooding has also impacted the local train services. All schools and colleges in the city have been closed and all government and semi-government offices falling under BMC's jurisdiction have also been closed on August 19. The Mumbai Police have advised the residents to avoid unnecessary travel and step out of homes only if necessary. It also requested the private sector to allow work from home.
