Bengaluru: The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) notification was released by the Department of School Education, Karnataka. It has released the KARTET 2025 notification for the candidates aspiring to teach in classes 1 to 8 in government and private schools. Interested candidates who meet all the eligibility conditions set by the Department can apply online through the official website at schooleducation.karnataka.gov.in.
The Department has announced that the online application process will be available from October 23 to November 9, 2025. The KARTET 2025 exam will be held on December 7 at various centres spread across the state.

What is Karnataka TET eligibility criteria?
Paper I (Classes 1–5):
- Senior Secondary (50 per cent marks) + 2-year DElEd / 4-year BElEd
- Graduation (50 per cent marks) + 2-year DElEd
- Other equivalent qualifications in education
Paper II (Classes 6–8):
- Graduation (50 per cent marks) + 1-year BEd / 4-year BElEd / 4-year BAEd / BScEd
- Graduation (50 per cent marks) + 1-year BEd (Special Education)
