Karnataka TET 2025 notification out; check eligibility criteria, registration process

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for Karnataka TET 2025 examination from October 23 to November 9 through the official website. The written exam will be held on December 7, 2025.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) notification was released by the Department of School Education, Karnataka. It has released the KARTET 2025 notification for the candidates aspiring to teach in classes 1 to 8 in government and private schools. Interested candidates who meet all the eligibility conditions set by the Department can apply online through the official website at schooleducation.karnataka.gov.in.

The Department has announced that the online application process will be available from October 23 to November 9, 2025. The KARTET 2025 exam will be held on December 7 at various centres spread across the state.

What is Karnataka TET eligibility criteria?

Paper I (Classes 1–5):

  • Senior Secondary (50 per cent marks) + 2-year DElEd / 4-year BElEd
  • Graduation (50 per cent marks) + 2-year DElEd
  • Other equivalent qualifications in education

Paper II (Classes 6–8): 

  • Graduation (50 per cent marks) + 1-year BEd / 4-year BElEd / 4-year BAEd / BScEd
  • Graduation (50 per cent marks) + 1-year BEd (Special Education)

How to register online for Karnataka TET 2025 exam?

Step 1: Open the official website of School Department at schooleducation.karnataka.gov.in

Step 2: Find the Karnataka TET registration link on the homepage 

Step 3: Fill in the KARTET application form with all details including academic and personal 

Step 4: Pay the application fee, if any 

Step 5: Scan and upload all the mandatory documents 

Step 6: Submit the Karnataka TET application form 

Step 7: Download and keep the hard copy of application form for future need 

Candidates are advised to refer the KARTET 2025 notification meticulosly before kick-starting the online registration process.
