Mumbai: Arjun Kapoor took to social media to wish his former lover, Malaika Arora, on her 52nd birthday. The couple has maintained a cordial relationship despite parting ways almost a year ago. The actor's message for his ex-partner garnered the respect of fans.
“Happy birthday @malaikaaroraofficial keep soaring, keep smiling and always keep seeking (sic)," wrote Kapoor, sharing a picture taken in Paris during their time.
In June, Malaika also shared a birthday post for Arjun. Sharing a boomerang of the actor jumping on a street, the dancer stated, "Happy birthday @arjunkapoor..."
Arjun and Malaika began dating in 2018. Though their relationship was initially kept private, the couple began to be spotted together at functions and vacations. Soon, the news of them being a couple was all over social media. However, the relationship did not last long. In 2024, the couple parted ways. Arjun even confirmed that he was single. "Nahi abhi single hoon. Relax karo (No, I'm single now. Relax)," said the actor.
When asked about Arjun's statement, Malaika, on the other hand, commented, "I am very private person, and there are certain aspects of my life which I don't want to elaborate much." But the star admitted that 2024 had been a difficult time for her and her family due to the passing of her stepdad.
Even after their breakup, the couple stayed cordial with each other. They were recently spotted at the 'Homebound' premiere, exchanging a warm hug. The couple also likes each other's posts on social media, showcasing their affection for each other.
Malaika was previously married to actor and producer Arbaaz Khan. The couple parted ways in 2017. They share a son, Arhaan.
