New Delhi: The drama inside the Bigg Boss 19 house intensified on Wednesday night (August 28) as contestants competed in the first captaincy task. Friendships were tested, loyalties were questioned, and several alliances seemed to crack under pressure.
The episode opened with Bigg Boss explaining the captaincy challenge, which was structured around different “houses.” At the end of each round, one house would be eliminated, leaving only a few contenders for the top spot. Baseer Ali was appointed the sanchalak of the task, making him the one to oversee eliminations.
As contestants prepared their strategies, tensions rose. Zeishan Quadri snapped at Tanya Mittal, accusing her of “acting like Mother Teresa.” He stormed off after the remark, leaving the housemates startled.
The first round kicked off with housemates sprinting into the garden. Baseer eliminated House Number 2, comprising Amaal Mallik and YouTuber Mridul Tiwari. Zeishan teased Amaal about picking up slippers, to which the singer cheekily replied, “The captain will do it,” drawing laughs.
By the second round, Baseer, Amaal, and Mridul demolished the house belonging to Awez Darbar, Nagma Mirajkar, and Natalia. But the bigger twist came later, when Baseer was seen plotting with Awez to ensure Abhishek Bajaj, Praneet Bhat, Gaurav Khanna, and Zeishan were kept out of the race.
The eliminations continued rapidly. Neelam’s house was destroyed in the third round, followed by Baseer’s plan to push out Tanya and Praneet. By the fifth round, the room shared by Zeishan, Nehal, and Gaurav was struck out, leaving Kunickaa Sadanand, Abhishek, and Ashnoor Kaur as the final contenders.
Emotions ran high after the task. Tanya broke down while recalling her mother and confessed that she was exhausted from constantly washing dishes. She also revealed that Gaurav wanted Ashnoor to win captaincy, not Kunickaa. When confronted, Gaurav clarified he wanted a “neutral captain” and didn’t see Kunickaa fit for the role, a comment that visibly hurt her.
The episode concluded with Ashnoor and Abhishek battling fiercely for the captain’s chair, while Kunickaa surprisingly chose Baseer as her representative, setting the stage for an even more unpredictable outcome.
