Border 2 cast and crew

Directed by Anurag Singh, the sequel boasts a star-studded cast including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa, alongside Sunny in the lead. The project is backed by producers Bhushan Kumar and JP Dutta, the latter having written, produced, and directed the original Border in 1997. That film was set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. It depicted the Battle of Longewala and went on to become one of the year’s top-grossing blockbusters, earning Rs 66 crore at the box office.

Is Diljit Dosanjh removed from Border 2?

Despite earlier speculation about Diljit Dosanjh’s removal from the sequel due to his association with a Pakistani actress in another project, the rumours have been put to rest. The singer-actor remains part of the ensemble, confirmed through a behind-the-scenes video he shared from the set. Reports suggest that the ban was lifted for Border 2 following intervention from T-Series.

Is Suniel Shetty in Border 2?

However, Suniel Shetty, who played a pivotal role in the 1997 original, will not be returning. Instead, his son Ahan Shetty will be making his mark in the sequel. Suniel has expressed pride in seeing his son join the legacy of a film so closely tied to his career.
