Mumbai: The box office has an interesting range of films for cinephiles. De De Pyaar De 2 has consistently been outperforming its competitors despite tight competition from Bollywood and other regional movies. Here's the latest box office report:
The Ajay Devgan and Rakul Preet Singh-starrer has managed to maintain momentum on its 12th day, earning Rs 1.75 crore. As of today, the total collection stands at Rs 64.95 crore. The rom-com sequel is giving tough competition to even the movies released this week.
The adult comedy movie, starring Vivek Oberoi, Ritiesh Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani, brought in Rs 1.60 crore. Though the movie has not appealed to the masses, it has sustained its loyal audience, especially on small screens. The total collection of the comedy movie now stands at Rs 11.70 crore.
Farhan Akhtar's war drama collected Rs 1.50 crore on Tuesday. Since the release of the movie, the film has maintained a decent phase. The war drama has collected Rs 13 crore in just 5 days. On the opening weekend, the film garnered Rs 10.17 crores and later grossed Rs 3.85 crore on Saturday and Rs 4 crore on Sunday.
Eko, a Malayalam thriller, is having a phenomenal run at the theatre. Directed by Dinjith Ayyathan and written and shot by Bahul Ramesh, Eko earned Rs 80 lakh on day one. However, it witnessed an astonishing jump on the second day. It rose to 130 percent, garnering Rs 1.85 crore on day 2.
