Mumbai: BTS's Jungkook showed the world what a good friend should be like. The K-pop star arrived at the VIP premiere of the movie First Ride with a doll of his best friend, ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun Woo, who could not attend the event due to his ongoing military commitments.
Jungkook's appearance on October 27 caught the attention of many. Fans of the K-pop star and the actor were delighted by the gesture. In the photos shared online, Jungkook is seen with a life-sized doll of Cha Eun Woo dressed in a bridal style. The star was seen patting the doll and even making it wave and salute. Jungkook's actions sparked laughter among those gathered.
After posing with the doll for the camera, Jungkook had a chat with the host of the event. He stated that he had come for the premiere to support his friend and wanted to examine his acting skills. “Firstly, I came because I was really curious about the film. Plus, he’s my friend Dongmin (Cha Eun Woo is part of the project), and I wanted to check out his acting," said the K-pop star.
He added, "He told me that while filming the movie, he thought a lot about the times when we were younger, when we were in our early twenties, we often hung out and played together. He tried to bring that vibe into the portrayal. I’ll enjoy the movie with that feeling in my mind."
He concluded by wishing his friend well. “I wish you always take care of your health. I hope you can serve well and be discharged safely after your military service. Fighting!" said Jungkook.
Kim Namjoon, aka RM, Jung Hoseok, aka J-hope, and SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu were also present at the movie premiere.
The movie directed by Nam Dae Joong will be released in theatres on October 29. Jungkook's recent public appearance at the movie premiere comes after a while, as he was keeping a low profile following his discharge from the military.
