Mumbai: Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s movie Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is moving steadily at the box office despite tight competition from Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s 'Thamma'. In just nine days, the film has recorded a collection of Rs 51.72 crore. 

Despite worries, the film had a strong opening on the first day. They recorded a collection of Rs 9 crore. In the days that followed, the movie maintained its momentum. It made Rs 7.75 crore on Wednesday and Rs 6 crore on Thursday. Though there was a slight drop on Friday, it got back on pace over the weekend.

The movie recorded Rs 6.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 7 crore on Sunday. The week that followed was comparatively slower. 

On Monday, the movie recorded Rs 3.5 crore, and on Tuesday, the box office collection was Rs 4.5 crore. Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat's occupancy across the nation was between 13–15 percent. Lucknow saw 19 percent, Mumbai recorded 15.67 percent, Jaipur witnessed 18 percent, and Pune recorded 18.67 percent. 

Meanwhile, Hyderabad and Bhopal recorded turnout below 10 percent. 

About Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat

The movie, directed by Milap Zaveri, explores the romance between a politician named Vikramaditya Bhonsle, played by Harshvardhan Rane, and an actress named Adaa Randhawa, portrayed by Sonam Bajwa. It showcases their intense love, heartbreak and the surrounding drama. 

The synopsis of the movie stated, “When a strong-willed superstar falls in love with a powerful politician, their passionate romance swiftly turns into a dangerous game of obsession, pride, and heartbreak."
