As per the latest report, Mahavatar Narsimha has minted around Rs 57 crore in total. Which makes it to become the highest-grossing animated movie of India to date. With this, it has also surpassed Spiderman. The film collected Rs 8.50 crore alone on Friday. Whereas the film's 3D charges add to its gross, making it around Rs 63 crores.
With this, the film has surpassed the Hollywood film Spiderman. Some time before, a Tamil film, Kochadaiiyaa, which starred Rajinikanth, was the biggest grosser. But now, as Mahaavtar Narsimha has taken over, it has outrun many films and has also set the bar high for the upcoming releases.

Mahavatar has grossed Rs 57 crore, whereas Spideman grossed Rs 55 crore, and Incredibles 2 minted Rs 54.50 crore. While Kochadaiiyan collected Rs 52 crore, Kung Fu Panda 4 earned Rs 43 crore. Similarly, Inside Out 2, Moana 2, Kung Fu Panda 3, and Kung Fu Panda 2 collected Rs 38,31,30, and 21 crores respectively.
The film is directed by Ashwin Kumar and is produced by Chaitanya Desai, Shilpaa Dhawan, and Kushal Desai. It is produced under the banner of Kleem Productions, presented by Hombale Films. Its plot is about lord Vishnu's another avatar, Mahavatar Narsimha. Who comes to end the life of the cruel King Hiranyakashyap and to save his devotee Prahlad. The film is highly praised for its animation and VFX.
