Spirit teaser: Fans of Prabhas were in for a surprise on his 46th birthday as director Sandeep Reddy Vanga unveiled the first “sound story” from their highly anticipated collaboration, Spirit. Released on Thursday, the one-minute audio teaser was available in five Indian languages: Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, offering audiences a first glimpse into the gritty world of the upcoming action drama.
The teaser begins with an intense conversation between a jailer and his assistant about an ex-cop who’s been remanded. The jailer gives stern orders on how to handle the prisoner, asking his subordinate to strip him, search him, and send him for tests.
Amid the tension, Prabhas’s voice cuts through the silence, saying, “Sir, since childhood, I have one bad habit.” As the jailer shouts, Prabhas calmly repeats, “Right from childhood, I have one bad habit.”
The audio ends on that chilling note, leaving fans curious and thrilled. Sharing the clip on X (formerly Twitter), Sandeep Reddy Vanga wrote, “Happy Birthday Prabhas anna. Presenting a 'SOUND-STORY' in five Indian languages straight from the heart, for every fan who’s felt his (four emojis).”
The official handle of the film added, “The system knows his record. The streets know his rage. Now the world will know his #OneBadHabit. #Spirit Sound Story Out Now in all Languages.”
Social media was flooded with reactions soon after the release. A user commented, “Whoa! That voice. It was a lot!” Another post read, “Did you guys notice the music in the #Spirit announcement? It feels like a police parade anthem — powerful and perfectly themed! Vanga GOD knows the pulse.” One fan speculated, “What is the bad habit? Curiouser and curiouser.” Another tweet predicted, “2000 crore loading baby. Can’t wait.”
Fans also drew comparisons between Spirit and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s last directorial, Animal, citing similarities in tone, sound design, and Prabhas’s menacing delivery.
