New Delhi: Former actor and businesswoman Priya Sachdev paid a heartfelt tribute to her late husband Sunjay Kapur on what would have been his 54th birthday. Her emotional post came amid the ongoing legal battle over his reported Rs 30,000 crore estate, which also involves his children from his second marriage to actor Karisma Kapoor.
Sunjay Kapur, the industrialist and chairman of Sona Group, passed away on June 12, 2025, after suffering a heart attack during a polo match in the United Kingdom. He was 53 at the time of his death.
On Wednesday (October 15), Priya took to Instagram to share a deeply moving birthday message for her late husband, quoting verses from the Bhagavad Gita to describe his character and legacy.
She wrote, “Whatever action a great man performs, others follow. Whatever path he walks, the world pursues. He who lives with purpose and love never perishes, For the divine dwells in all who serve with devotion.”
In the caption, Priya reflected on Sunjay’s grace, strength, and humility, expressing how his presence continues to guide her and their son, Azarius. She wrote, “You lived these words without ever needing to speak them. You led with kindness, not command. You built with courage, not pride. You gave without expecting, because giving was your nature.”

She continued, “I watched you move through storms with grace, carry burdens with calm, and turn every challenge into purpose. You never spoke of faith, you lived it. You believed in doing, not declaring.”
Her tribute grew more personal as she added, “Even now, your presence feels like quiet strength beside me — in the laughter of our son, in the walls you built with vision, in the stillness of evenings where I feel your peace. They say a great man’s actions guide the world, but for me, your greatest act was how you loved — selflessly and completely.”
Concluding her post with a poignant message, Priya wrote, “Some souls don’t depart; they expand. You are everywhere, yet still right here. My Sunjay, I know you are watching over me. Happy Birthday, J.”
Her emotional note has been widely shared, with fans and well-wishers offering support. Many have interpreted her words as a subtle response to the ongoing family dispute over Sunjay Kapur’s inheritance, which continues to make headlines.
