New Delhi: Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie is set to release this week on August 14 and it has already created a huge buzz among fans. Be it the phenomenal advance booking or fans excitement to catch the first-day-first-show, Coolie is witnessing a wave not just in Tamil Nadu, but across the country and even in the international market.
However, as per India Today report, the ticket prices of Coolie is priced at Rs 600, Rs 1,000, and even Rs 4,500 in the South. Not only in Tamil Nadu but ticket prices even soared for dubbed version of Coolie.
India Today quoted an ardent fan of Rajnikanth as saying, “I have tried my luck at all the popular theatres in Chennai. They are all priced at Rs 600, Rs 1,000, with the highest being Rs 4,500. I am not able to book tickets through the ticketing apps for the first show, as they are either blocked or sold out. Fans like me have no other choice but to buy the tickets in black or wait till the first shows are over to watch the film by paying government-authorised rates."
According to sources, a popular theatre in Chennai has priced tickets at Rs 4,500 while another theatres is selling first-day-first-show tickets for Rs 400.
In Bengaluru, tickets are being sold for Rs 2,000 and the ticket prices in the state starts with Rs 500. In Mumbai, ticket prices range from Rs 250 to Rs 500. In Delhi-NCR, tickets are priced at Rs 900 for a recliner seat.
According to reports, Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie has already crossed Rs 50 crore worldwide in its pre-sales. In India, the film has already crossed Rs 14 crore in advance sales. The film is seto have an historic opening at the ticket window.
Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial, Coolie, also stars Aamir Khan in a cameo role. It features Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Monisha Blessy, and Kaali Venkat.
