Salman Khan attends Sangeeta Bijlani’s birthday bash in style; know their love story

New Delhi: Actor Salman Khan turned heads on Tuesday (July 9) night as he made a striking appearance at Sangeeta Bijlani’s birthday celebration in Mumbai. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor is known for his charisma and style. He arrived at the private gathering in a fitted black t-shirt paired with jeans, showcasing his lean, muscular frame and a new brown-haired look that didn’t go unnoticed.

But it wasn’t just his appearance that made headlines. It was his warm reunion with ex-girlfriend and longtime friend Sangeeta Bijlani that stole the spotlight. The duo was once one of the most talked-about couples of the 1990s and was seen posing together for the paparazzi.

While the photographs quickly went viral, it was Salman’s understated yet respectful gesture that captured hearts. He kept his hands firmly tucked in his pockets while posing beside the birthday girl, opting not to place his arm around her. Social media users flooded comment sections, calling the actor a “true gentleman” for maintaining decorum.

For the celebration, Sangeeta dazzled in a metallic sequin mini skirt paired with a chic white top featuring a cut-out neckline. The party, held at an upscale restaurant in the city, was attended by several well-known personalities. Salman appeared relaxed and cheerful throughout the evening, engaging warmly with other guests.

Salman and Sangeeta’s relationship began in 1986 and lasted nearly eight years. The couple was also headed for marriage. In fact, wedding cards had reportedly been printed before the ceremony was suddenly called off. During a recent appearance on Indian Idol, Sangeeta was asked by contestant Ritika Raj Singh, “We heard that your and Salman sir’s wedding cards had already been printed?” A visibly surprised Sangeeta confirmed the rumour, replying, “Yes, that’s not a lie.” Judge Vishal Dadlani responded with curiosity, asking, “Then what happened? What’s the story?”

Although the exact reasons behind their breakup were never officially confirmed, industry insiders have long claimed that the relationship ended after Sangeeta allegedly discovered Salman’s involvement with actress Somy Ali. Somy, who had admired Salman since her teens, reportedly moved to India to pursue a relationship with him. Their relationship too ended on a sour note, marred by allegations of abusive behaviour.

Despite the turbulent past, Salman and Sangeeta have remained on amicable terms. They’re often spotted together at family events and social gatherings. On the professional front, Salman is currently preparing for his next big project, Battle of Galwan, which is expected to begin filming soon.
