Visakhapatnam: South Central Railways has set up helpline numbers at key stations to assist passengers and families affected by the Tatanagar-Ernakulam fire near Yelamanchili at Anakapalle district of Andhra Pradesh in the early hours of Monday.

Train delays:
Several trains have been delayed due to the accident at the station, in which one person died.
Puri-Tirupati Express, Shalimar-Cherlapalli (18045), Visakhapatnam-Lingampalli (12805), and Visakhapatnam-Guntur (17240) express trains, which were supposed to depart from Visakhapatnam towards Vijayawada, have been delayed by 3-4 hours. The Godavari Express and Tirupati-Howrah trains, which were scheduled to arrive in Visakhapatnam, are also running late.
The Vande Bharat and Janmabhoomi Superfast trains departed from Visakhapatnam on schedule.
Tatangaar-Ernkulam express catches fire; one dead:
A major fire broke out on Tatanagar-Ernakulam express (Train No: 18189) at around 1 am when the train bound to Ernakulam was near Yelamanchili railway station, Visakhapatnam. One person died and two compartments were completely gutted. The deceased was identified as a 70-year-old man named Chandrasekhar.
The loco pilot reportedly noticed the fire near the station and brought the train to a halt. By the time emergency personnel reached the station, the two coaches were completely gutted. Around 2,000 passengers were stranded at the station for several hours in the winter cold.
