New Delhi: In a heinous incident in Bengaluru, a man has allegedly kicked a five-year-old boy 'like a football' when he was playing near his grandmother's home. The entire incident was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras in the area and has raised concerns among netizens.
How did it happen?
On December 14 in Bengaluru's Thyagarajanagar area, the child, Neiv Jain, was playing with other children. At that time, the man named Ranjan kicked the boy out of the blue from behind. The boy fell to the ground, while the man walked away. Deepika, the child's mother, reportedly said that the man, a gym trainer, had hit other children as well in the area.
What did the mother say?
The mother said, "He ran up and kicked my child with his leg. He is just five years old. The man kicked him forcefully and assaulted him. We called the police, and they arrested him. Later, we checked the CCTV footage. After watching it, we realised that he had assaulted other children too."
Adding that her son has been injured, she said, "We were not aware of this earlier. For many days now, he has been similarly assaulting several children. He comes onto the road and attacks them."
What did the police say on this?
DCP North, while speaking on the matter, informed that the accused and he will be treated for mental illness. As per his parents, he is being treated in Madurai for psychological disorders. The cop said that the man may have assaulted some girls as well and added, "It was a non-cognizable offence. Subsequently, permission was taken from the court, and our team registered the case. They completed the formalities of the investigation and then sent him."
