New Delhi: Nitish Kumar was sworn in as Bihar’s Chief Minister for the tenth time on Thursday during a ceremony held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. The event marked his formal return to office a day after he submitted his claim to form the next government and secured the backing of the National Democratic Alliance.
In his first public remarks since the election setback, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav congratulated the new administration. He said he hoped the government would rise to public expectations and focus on the issues that had shaped the recent political campaign.
The oath-taking ceremony also included several newly elected NDA legislators. Among them were senior BJP figures Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha, who joined the cabinet as part of the alliance’s push to consolidate its position in the state assembly.
