The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has been directly implicated in the tragic stampede that occurred outside Bengalurus Chinnaswamy Stadium, resulting in the deaths of 11 individuals. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has concluded its investigation and is now prepared to file an extensive charge sheet in the matter.
The stampede transpired during victory celebrations following an RCB win, where supporters had gathered. Investigators from the CID have reportedly uncovered multiple pieces of evidence pointing towards serious lapses not only by RCB but also by DNA Networks and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).
The High Court has granted its approval for the filing of the charge sheet. Sources indicate that the CID has compiled an over 2,200-page document detailing their findings. This development marks a significant turn in the ongoing investigation into the tragic event.
