Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the much-awaited Navi Mumbai International Airport on Wednesday, along with the Mumbai Metro Line 3 stretch from Aarey to Cuffe Parade. The PM called the airport launch a major boost to connectivity in the region and a major growth for the aviation industry in India. 

He added, "Navi Mumbai International Airport is a project that is a glimpse of a developed India. This new airport will connect Maharashtra’s farmers with the global market.”
