Over 24 lakh voters excluded from the draft SIR list in Kerala

New Delhi : The office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Kerala released the draft electoral roll prepared as part of the Special Intensive Revision. As part of the major verification exercise, the election commission has confirmed that 24.8 lakh voters have been removed following the enumeration process.

According to official data, Kerala had 2,78,50,856 registered voters in the October 2025 electoral roll.

The CEO’s office further clarified that the exclusions include 6,49,885 deceased voters, while 6,45,548 individuals could not be traced during the enumeration process.

The remaining exclusions relate to non-submission of forms and verification-related issues. Objections, corrections, and claims for inclusion in the draft voter list can be submitted until January 22.

Voters whose names are missing can apply for inclusion by submitting the required declaration and forms through the Election Commission’s prescribed process. The CEO said steps have been initiated to provide assembly constituency-wise voter lists to all recognised political parties to ensure transparency.

The final electoral roll for Kerala is scheduled to be published on February 21, 2026.

How to find your name in the voter list?

A voter can download the SIR draft roll from the Voters Service Portal by opting the respective district, and assembly constituency. Select your part number and part name and download the pdf. The draft electoral rolls released after the SIR process will be available both online and offline. Eligible voters from Kerala can also check the voter list through the official ECI portal,
