'Kulhad war' breaks out between lassi vendors in Mathura

In Mathura’s Barsana, a bizarre incident unfolded as a ‘kulhad war’ broke out between lassi vendors. A video of the scuffle is going viral on social media. The incident took place on the temple road, where two shopkeepers got into a heated argument while trying to draw customers to their respective stalls. The altercation escalated to physical violence, with clay cups (kulhads) of lassi being used a sweapons.

The video shows people from both sides using sticks and throwing kulhads to hit each other. Devotees visiting the temple for darshan were visibly disturbed by the chaos.

Locals say that such arguments among shopkeepers are common during festivals or peak crowd seasons. The police have launched an investigation.
