In a video which has surfaced online, it can be seen that three MNS men sat across a desk from the head of the Siddhartha Logic coaching centre, Siddharth Singh Chandel. The centre is located in the Kalyan suburb near Mumbai, which prepares students for competitive examinations, including the Indian Administrative Service.

The perpetrators alleged that Chandel did not take classes despite charging high fees. Chandel could be seen trying to diffuse the tension, but it was only escalating. One of the MNS members slapped him, and another hurled a stainless-steel bottle at Chandel, who was still trying to pacify them. Meanwhile, a third man threw a wooden plaque at him.

There were some young girls at the corner of the room, and one of them filmed the entire incident. The MNS members seemed in no mood to calm down, and they came around the table and threatened Chandel.

In the past few weeks, incidents of Raj Thackeray's MNS attacking people over the Marathi language row have increased. Recently, they assaulted a shopkeeper in Mumbai's Mira Road and another in Vikhroli. They have also attacked auto drivers who have gone to Mumbai from other states. Thackeray and his MNS have been unapologetic over their actions. Rather, Raj has even praised the attackers. The members and supporters of his party have warned of more attacks and violence if anyone dares to criticise Thackeray.
