Days after the truce with Iran, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reached the White House at the invitation of Donald Trump. The high-profile meeting culminated with a private dinner with Trump at the Blue Room.

Netanyahu, while attending the meeting at the White House, told reporters that Israel is working on a crucial plan with the US to “help” displace Palestinians from Gaza. In the same interaction, the US envoy Steve Witkoff told reporters that the US would soon hold talks with Iran in the coming days.

In a notable gesture acknowledging “Trump’s diplomatic efforts in establishing peace”, Netanyahu presented Trump with a letter nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Talking to the reporters, Trump also informed that the US is sending more weapons to Ukraine, which would help improve their defence. He said that they have been hit very hard by Russia and will thus be provided with defensive weapons.
