Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently addressed a rally in Saharsa, Bihar, where he extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation on Indias historic triumph at the Womens Cricket World Cup.

He affirmed that "Yesterday in Mumbai, the daughters of India created history," securing the nations first-ever title win in the tournament. The victory marks a significant milestone, as the world witnessed a new world champion after a full 25 years. PM Modi underscored that this pride has been bestowed upon the entire country by Indias daughters.

He highlighted that this achievement transcends the sports field, symbolising the new self-confidence of Indian women. Many of these champion athletes originate from small villages, and from farmers, labourers, and lower-middle-class families.
