Rohini Acharya Accuses Lalu Family of Abuse and Political Sidelining, Quits Politics

Rohini Acharya, daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav, has publicly disowned her family and quit politics, alleging severe abuse, humiliation, and political sidelining. Acharya, who donated a kidney to her father in 2022, claims she was beaten with slippers and forced to leave her fathers house. She further alleged being accused of donating a "dirty kidney" for political and financial gains.

Her allegations are primarily directed at her brother, Tejashwi Yadav, and his associates, Sanjay Yadav and Rameez. Rohini stated that she felt like an outsider and blamed Tejashwi for favouring others over her.

The RJD has downplayed the situation, describing it as a "family issue," while the BJP has commented on the perceived crumbling of the family and party. This public feud marks a significant internal conflict within the Yadav family and the Rashtriya Janata Dal.
