However, the investigation, prompted by inconsistent family statements and deep suspicion from an insurance company, unraveled a chilling conspiracy. Police discovered that Ganesan held a term insurance policy worth approximately ₹3 crore.

The probe revealed that Ganesan's own sons, identified as Mohanraj and Hariharan, allegedly conspired with four others—Balaji (28) from Manavoor, and Prashanth (35), Naveen Kumar (28), and Dinakaran (28) from Mosur village in Ranipet district. Together, they are accused of plotting to use a highly venomous krait snake to bite Ganesan on the neck, thereby murdering him to claim the insurance money.

Tiruvallur crime: Six arrested

Following the revelations, the Podatturpettai police arrested all six accused. The investigation found that the motive was twofold: the massive insurance sum and the potential for a compassionate government job following the father's death.

Driven by sheer greed, the accused have not only caused the tragic loss of their father's life but now face the prospect of spending their own lives behind bars.
