Team India has been awarded a colossal Rs 21 crore by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) following their emphatic victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai on 28 September. This substantial prize money is designated for the players and support staff, recognising their exceptional performance throughout the tournament.

The announcement came after India's historic win, where they beat Pakistan by five wickets. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the award, stating, "It was an extraordinary victory and therefore as a part of celebrations, BCCI has announced a cash award of Rs 21 crore in favour of the players and the support staff who are part of the Indian team in the Asia Cup."

This award far surpasses the approximately Rs 2.6 crore typically given to the official Asia Cup winners, an amount which Team India reportedly declined to collect. The Men in Blue showcased a dominant, unbeaten run, garnering praise from various quarters, including Prime Minister Modi.
