Star Pakistan batter Babar Azam endured another failure in the Big Bash league encounter on Wednesday.
New Delhi: Star Pakistan batter Babar Azam endured yet another failure in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) as his struggle continued with the bat. Playing for Sydney Sixers against Adelaide Strikers, the right handed batter once again fell cheaply as he managed just 9 runs off 10 balls during the match on Wednesday.
Amid high expectations, the Pakistan player had arrived in the Australian T20 league hoping to get a chance to rediscover his form ahead of the marquee T20 World Cup 2026 but the tournament has not been able to prove lucky for the player who's not able to it with the bat since a long time. During his campaign-opener against the Perth Scorchers last week, Babar was dismissed for 2 runs.
Babar's stay was cut short as Strikers bowler Luke Wood struck with the second ball of the third over which forced an error that witnesses the batter getting caught by Matthew Short. With another failure, concerns surrounding his form have risen.

During the chase, Liam Scott smashed 51 runs off just 31 balls aided with three boundaries and as many sixes to play a pivotal in the game for the Strikers. Jamie Overton, who produced brilliant figures with the ball, aided the side with 30 runs off 20 deliveries as the Adelaide Strikers chased down the 160-run target in 19.2 overs.
