Seasoned Australian batter Chris Lynn scripted history on Wednesday by becoming the first player in the history of the Big Bash League to score 4000 career runs. Lynn achieved the remarkable feat in Match 27 of the BBL 2025-26 season, played between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat at the Adelaide Oval.
Opening the batting for the Srikers, Lynn breached the 4000-run mark with a massive six over mid-wicket off the bowling of Xavier Bartlett during his team's chase for a modest 122-run target.
Lynn is already the highest run-scorer in Australia's premier T20 league competition.
