India vs Pakistan Final HIGHLIGHTS, Asia Cup 2025: India beat Pakistan by five wickets to lift their 9th Asia Cup title in Dubai on Sunday, September 28. Chasing the 147-run target, the Men in Blue suffered an early blow as Abhishek Sharma departed cheaply in the second over.

Suryakumar and Gill followed him back, and India found themselves in trouble at 20/3 in 4 overs. Samson walked out to bat and steadied the innings with Tilak. The duo stitched a 57-run partnership to bring India back into the match.

Abrar broke that partnership, and Pakistan thought they were back in the match with the asking rate closing at 10rpo, but a poor Rauf conceded 17 runs in the 15th over to change the match in India's favour. 10 needed off the final over, and Tilak smashed Rauf for a six and almost sealed the game, leaving Rinku to hit the winning runs.

Earlier, Sahibzada Farhan and Haris Rauf stitched an 84-run partnership for the first wicket. Sahibzada Farhan took on Bumrah again and completed his fifty in 35 balls.

At one point, it looked like Salman Agha and Co. would easily cross the 180-run mark. But after Varun Chakaravarthy dismissed Fakhar Zaman for 46 runs, Pakistan lost control. Kuldeep picked up three wickets in one over and completely changed the match.

Varun, Axar and Bumah also did a brilliant job, picking up two wickets each, while Kuldeep took 4 wickets. Pakistan is the only full-member side with a 40-plus dot-ball percentage in the Asia Cup 2025.

India beat Pakistan by five wickets in the final of the Asia Cup 2025. Celebrations on the field. Tilak is pumped, and so is Rinku. The duo run off in different directions in celebration. What a final! This was not a one-sided match like the previous two matches between the two sides.

But the Men in Blue managed to defend their title, clinching 9th Asia Cup Trophy. After losing the 2023 ODI World Cup final, Indian Cricket Team has now won 2024 T20 World Cup, 2025 Champions Trophy, and 2025 T20 Asia Cup. Faheem Ashraf dismisses Shivam Dube for 33 runs. He bowls a slower delivery into the wicket, and Dube decides to go over the off-side. He does not get the ball off the middle and almost ends up slicing it to long-off as Shaheen takes a good catch. 7 runs and a wicket from the over.

13 runs from Haris Rauf's over. A big one for India. He concedes just five runs on the first five balls, but Dube smashes a maximum over cow corner on the last ball of the over. India need 17 runs in 12 balls.

Shaheen Afridi is back in the attack and gives away just six runs in the over. Good over for Pakistan. India need 30 runs in 18 balls.

Shivam Dube smashes a maximum on the first ball towards deep mid-wicket. Abrar makes a good comeback and gives away just five runs in the last five balls. Tilak completes his fifty in 41 balls.

Expensive over from Haris Rauf, 17 runs from it. Shivam Dube smashes a boundary through extra cover on the first ball. He takes a single on the next ball, and Tilak hits a boundary on the third ball. He smashes a maximum over deep backward square on the last ball.

Just 5 runs Saim Ayub's over. Tilak Varma survives a run-out scare on the last as Dube plays a shot, and Hasan Ali chases after from short third, collects the ball quickly with a slide and releases it quickly. Haris fails to make a quick contact with the stumps, which allows Tilak to make his ground.

Abrar Ahmed dismisses Sanju Samson for 24 runs. He bowls a leggie spinning away outside off stump, and Sanju tries to play a lofted shot through the off-side. The ball takes the outside edge, and Farhan takes an easy catch at backward point. Two runs and a wicket from the over.

IND 78/4 (13 overs)

Saim Ayub concedes seven runs in the over. Tilak Varma takes a single on the first ball. Sanju Samson smashes a maximum on the fifth ball over long-on.

11 runs from Abrar Ahmed's over. Samson and Tilak take two runs on the first two balls. Tilak smashes a maximum on the third ball over deep mid-wicket. Abrar gives away just three runs on the last three balls.

Just 9 runs in the last two overs. Good bowling from Ayub and Abrar. A 38-run partnership between Tilak and Sanju. There seems to be some dew on the outfield now. Time for drinks!!

Haris Rauf comes into the attack and gives away 7 runs in the over. Samson and Tilak rotate strike on the first two balls, but Samson hits a boundary over mid-wicket on the third ball. he takes a single on the next ball.

Mohammad Nawaz comes into the attack and concedes six runs in the over. Tilak smashes a boundary through backward square leg on the second ball. He gives away just two runs in the next four deliveries.

11 runs from Faheem Ashraf's over. Tilak Varma hits a boundary through mid-off on the third delivery. He smashes a maximum on the very next delivery over long leg.

Faheem Ashraf dismisses Shubman Gill for 12 runs. Gill looks to hit back-to-back fours and uses his feet again. The batter didn't middle this at all, and Haris takes a brilliant catch. 8 runs and a wicket from the over.

Shaheen Afridi dismisses Suryakumar Yadav for 1 run. Another big wicket for Pakistan. Slower ball again, and the Indian captain was early into his shot. He looks to loft it over the infield, but Agha takes a good diving catch. A few lights over the leg-side boundary have gone off. Three runs and a wicket from the over.

IND 12/2 (3 overs)

Faheem Ashraf dismisses Abhishek Sharma for five runs. He bowls a slower delivery and the opener looks to play a big shot, but gets the toe-end of the bat and Haris Rauf takes an easy catch at mid-on. 3 runs and a wicket from the over.

IND 10/1 (2 overs)

Abhishek Sharma and Gill are at the crease. Shaheen Afridi will open the attack and concedes 7 runs in the first over. Abhishek hits a boundary through cover-point on the second ball. But Shaheen makes a great comeback and gives away just three runs in the last four balls.

Pakistan bowled out for 146 runs in 19.1 overs. Brilliant bowling performance from Team India. Kuldeep picked up four wickets; while Axar, Chakaravarthy and Bumrah took two wickets each. From 113/1 in 12.4 overs to 146 all-out with five balls to spare, this is a poor batting performance in the final. Jasprit Bumrah dismisses Haris Rauf for 6 runs. He does Haris' dipping flight celebration with a smile. What a brilliant comeback from the Men in Blue. Seven runs and a wicket from the over.

PAK 141/9 (18 overs)

Kuldeep Yadav removes Salman Ali Agha for 8 runs. Agha plays a blind shot and completely mishits it. They have thrown away a great base, which was set by Farhan and Fakhar.

He removes Shaheen Afridi for a duck on the fourth ball of the over. Kuldeep bowls a googly, and Shaheen moves too far across. The ball struck him in line with the middle stump, and the ball-tracker says it hit the leg stump.

Extraordinary stuff from Kuldeep Yadav!! he dismisses Faheem Ashraf on a duck. Full delivery and turning away, Faheem goes for big shot, but instead picks out Tilak Varma at long-off. 7 wickets for last 22 runs.

PAK 134/8 (17 overs)

Axar Patel dismisses Hussain Talat for 1 run. The batter tries to play a big shot and smash the slog over mid-wicket, but only gets the bottom of the bat, and the ball goes straight up. Sanju moved just a few steps to collect it cleanly. 5 runs and a wicket from the over.

PAK 133/5 (16 overs)

Varun Chakaravarthy dismisses Fakhar Zaman on 46 runs. Fuller delivery and Fakhar couldn't exactly hit the ball straight or get under it. It hits the outer side of the bat and flies off a thick edge. Kuldeep takes a good back-pedalling catch at backward point. 10 runs and a wicket from the over.

PAK 128/4 (15 overs)

Back-to-back wickets!! Axar Patel dismisses Mohammad Haris on a duck. The batter steps out of the crease and plays an inside-out lofted drive. But couldn't get his act right as Rinku takes an easy catch. 5 runs and a wicket from the over.

PAK 118/3 (14 overs)

Kuldeep Yadav dismisses Saim Ayub on 11 runs. The ball spins away a bit, Ayub fails to control the cut and slices it towards the backward point, Bumrah bends down and takes a good low catch. Six runs and a wicket from the over.

PAK 113/2 (13 overs)

Tilak Varma comes into the attack and gives away 9 runs in the over. Zaman hits a boundary straight down the ground, but Tilak makes a great comeback and concedes just four runs on the last four balls.

Shivam Dube is back in the attack and concedes 11 runs in the over. He gives away just two runs on the first two deliveries, but Ayub smashes a maximum in front of square on the third ball. He smashes another boundary through fine leg on the fifth ball.

Varun Chakaravarthy dismisses Sahibzada Farhan on 57 runs. He bowls a short delivery and Farhan goes back to pull it, but hits the ball and straight to the fielder at deep mid-wicket. 10 runs and a wicket from the over.

PAK 87/1 (10 overs)

Expensive over from Kuldeep Yadav, 13 runs from it. Fakhar Zaman smashes a maximum over deep mid-wicket on the second ball. Farhan completes his fifty in 35 balls.

Eight runs from Shivam Dube's over. He concedes four runs in the first four deliveries, and on the last ball, Zaman smashes him for a boundary over the keeper.

Jasprit Bumrah comes into the attack and gives away 7 runs in the over. Farhan take two runs on the fourth delivery, and on the very next delivery,  he hits a boundary over the off-side ring.

"No surprises that India opted to bowl. They have chased 8 times against Pakistan and won all those games. Pitch looks like a featherbed. There is less grass and it looks flat. Only thing is it might get a little slower because of the lack of grass. It is the same pitch used for both India-Pakistan games and India have chased both times. 170 in a final is like 180-190 in a league game. May not be match-winning but you can certainly put pressure on the opposition. India have strengthened their batting. Hardik is a tough pill to swallow because it's difficult to balance the side. He is an allrounder and influences the combination," says Doull and Ravi Shastri.

"The wicket gets better under lights. We have been batting well first but we would like to chase today. The groundsmen have done a terrific job with the wickets here and it will stay the same. The brand of cricket we have been playing for the last 5-6 games is pretty good and we would like to continue that. Unfortunately Hardik misses out due to a niggle, Arshdeep and Harshit also miss out. Bumrah, Dube and Rinku come in," Suryakumar said at the toss.

Hardik Pandya is likely to miss the Asia Cup final against Pakistan at Dubai International Stadium. He is not doing any warm-ups.
